Replying to @Kbabyyy Looong overdue but I finally redid this hairstyle. This is my process to achieve dolly braids, there’s a lotta steps but after some trial and error I found that this gives me the best results, bouncy light curls (perfect for the summerrr)! (Description of the process below!) 1. Feather the ends using a plastic dermaplaner 2. Put shine n’ jam mousse on the ends, roll up a small section into Velcro rollers till the ends are fully covered and use metal clips to hold it in place 3. Dip each section into hot water (carefully cause I burned my scalp 🙃) 4. Unroll each section, spray with Pump it Up super hold spray and reroll to the root to dry overnight. Rerolling them to the roots avoid the dents made by the clips to remain super prominent. 5. Unroll the next day. If there are still dents dip a small cloth in hot water and while holding the hair taught, slide the towel down the braids to remove the dents. 6. Use the same mousse to set the roots of the hair I maintain the curls by rolling them up like once or twice a week depending on how lazy I feel.
