The Takamba Dance Takamba is a traditional dance associated with the Songhai/ Tuareg /koroboro tribes in northern regions of Mali, Niger, Mauritania and other African countries. The dance is often accompanied by a distinctive style of music and traditional instruments like the teherdent (tinde). The dance is often done in either a linear or circular movement involving a rhythmic swaying of the arms, neck and shoulders.
