@pnw.diver: Chimaera swim gracefully They're known as Spotted Ratfish. The name was change to Hydrolagus colliei which means Water Rabbit. Puget Sound fishing area have pictures of these fish which make them look ugly and resemble a rat with their long tails, but after diving with these fish I've realized how beautiful they are. These fish are relatives of sharks as they are cartilaginous fishes.
