The place is stunning, and they offer a choice of three cocktails over a 90 minute period: a passionfruit spritz, a kiko highball, and an espresso martini, alongside wine and beer. The standout dishes included the yuzu prawn gyoza, the half BBQ chicken with miso gravy, the smoky eggplant, and a miso apple pie with koji ice cream that was just insanely good. The chicken was really moist, and that miso apple pie, with its crispy crust, might just be my new favourite dessert in Melbourne (I hope it’s on the regular menu). On the flip side, the chargrilled leeks could use more flavour and be a bit less tough, and the cocktails could be much stronger. In terms of value, you get a decent amount of food for the price, and they have a nice selection of wines.
