You can do this with a glass cleaner too. WD40 is overkill.

Isopropyl alcohol. Wipers used to come with little wipes like you see in first aid kits .

No. don't do this. it's cleans off the graphite on the rubber and makes it worse.

no. but Rain-ex on windshields is a game changer! ice& water slide off& extends wipers life! been using it since "92 dating racecar driver 😏.
