@risingecommerce: Here’s how I would sell an eBook that teaches people how to run an eCommerce business. 👇 People don’t buy products. They buy convenience. Step 1: Identify Target Audience. You need to dive deeper into who you want to target. This will give you clarity as to what to write in your landing page copy and what content you’re going to make. Once you identify **who** you want to target, you need to gain their trust. Which leads to my next point. Step 2: Create a Lead Magnet they can use to educate themselves on the matter and give it away in exchange for their emails. Let’s assume you want to help a Chick-Fil-A employee start a real estate business with your eBook. Instead of saying “Free yourself from the routine”, you can say “From Flipping Burgers to Flipping Houses”. Notice how the messaging still refers to “escaping the routine” yet the wording is radically different, it’s more specific, and most importantly it’s relatable. The likelihood of someone taking you up on this lead magnet is higher because you’re solving a specific problem to a specific person with a specific situation. The deeper you understand your customer, the clearer the message is going to be and this alone makes your offer far more valuable because having a clear message will **allow** your prospect to feel understood. If the goal is for them to start their business in 9 days so that they can escape the rat race, wouldn’t you say that most of their time is compromised by their job? So what does that tell you? These people don’t have enough time to make the landing page, setup an email marketing sequence, setup upsells, downsells, cross-sells, and on top of that reply to customer complaints, fulfill the orders, among many other things. So this is where your core offer comes in.
