When this has happened to me in the past, it seems like if it’s queued up for someone’s FYP, it’ll still be available, but they can’t comment or share

You can also scroll back to videos that have come down so long as you haven't refreshed your feed. Even dl them when they are gone.

What could happen is the app fetches a list of valid videos from its api, and users take a while to scroll to it.

I think when it's already in queue on people's fyp, it will still play even after you delete it but will stop going into more people's queue.

Most likely this is an artifact of tiktok’s scale. They distribute the videos across the globe, count the views locally first. True count takes time.
