Looking for inspiration for your next trip to Cornwall? Here's what we got up to ⬇️ We stayed in St Austell and chose to stay fairly local because we were in need of a low-energy weekend. So these recommendations are quite St Austell specific, but if you're up for a bit of a drive, they're worth the trip! 🚘 Screech Owl Sanctuary🦉 One of my favourite spots in Cornwall, maybe even in the whole of the UK. You can get so close to the birds, there are loads of demonstrations and talks, and most importantly, they genuinely care so much about their animals. Caerhays Castle & Beach 🏰 A local baker recommended this beach for a picnic, but forgot to mention that there's a CASTLE next to it! The beach is tiny but so peaceful, and you can visit the castle or walk up the hill to join the South West Coastal Path. We also love hunting for sea glass whenever we travel, so obviously I had to have a look 👀 Charlestown 🌊 Gorgeous if you visit early in the morning or after 5pm - otherwise its a no go for me! It's a very popular day-trip spot in summer, so from around 11am its carnage. It is a cute spot for a sea swim if you fancy it though! Obviously very specific to us, but we decided we deserved a treat and booked somewhere with a spa on site and a balcony in the room. We made GOOD use of both. Highly recommend treating yourself if possible (of course) Eden Project 🌱 Controversial maybe, but I don't love the Eden Project for the price. We'd explored most of the site in about two hours which felt a little quick for the entry fee. BUT, if you get the opportunity to go to an event there DO IT. We booked tickets for Eden Sessions which included entry to the biomes before the gig. The tickets were only £15 more than normal Eden Project tickets and, because we went later in the day, the biomes were pretty much empty. Also Eden Sessions was BEAUTIFUL. I lost my mind a little when the biomes lit up ✨ I don't know, I just love seeing trees and the sea. I'm so happy wherever the nature is. 🥰🌱 I hope this maybe gives you a little inspo for your next trip? Give it a save to come back to later if it did, and I'd love to hear where else we should visit in Cornwall (places to stay or things to do are both equally welcome!) . . . . #uktravel #cornwalltrip #visitengland #uktravelbloggers #ukroadtrip
