Mold is more common in CA, especially by the water since the humidity is higher. Vinegar can help, along with sprays specifically for mold or 1/2

I throw my plastic shower curtain in the wash every month! Just add vinegar. Does the trick for me 😊 I’m also in CA

They have liquid deodorant you can put a little into the bag so it gets rid of odor

I saw a vid on here that said you can spray the shower curtain with vinegar water to combat mold
