I see pex all the time in new construction. I know copper is more expensive to install but I can't help but think it's more reliable over time.

why doesn't everyone just use those copper press fittings. seen a few guys install them, they look slick.

Use silicone lubricant every time on the tubing. Dependable, reusable, serviceable. Just like sweating, unlike crimp.
