@cast_iron_chris: This skillet went through: 1) soaked in the lye bath for a few days (typically 24hrs is enough) to remove the crust, buildup, and old seasoning 2) soaked in Evapo-Rust overnight to remove the rust 3) scrubbed between steps with grade 3 steel wool and @puracy soap 4) four rounds of seasoning with my Seasoning & Maintenance Compound at 450* for one hour. Question. Lye bathed. Beautiful cleanup. Your thoughts on Blacksto e product to “season” cast iron flat top griddles? I used 2 rounds in oven on skillets. They are not dark gray, but light gray.
