![Dry patches NEED hydration – and exfoliation – but you shouldn’t do the exfoliating. When you have a client, before you even get to their house or they come to your studio – ask them about their skin and give them suggestions to prepare for their appointment. One suggestion should be to use a physical exfoliate the night before or morning of for fresh, soft, smooth skin. And then when they sit in your chair: give them the hydrating works! 💦 Mixing oil into the foundation is my favorite way to “hide” [aka” minimize] the appearance of the dry patches. When you apply the foundation – regardless if you’re using a sponge or a brush – paint downwards instead of buffing so you don’t disturb the patch and make it flake off and then PRESS over the area to build coverage. My favorite oil is from rituel de fille – their priming thorn oil elixir. It smells divine. Your clients will fawn over it. What other questions do you have when it comes to foundation or concealer?
