@thesourdoughmama: I’ve been having great success lately by implementing the tips above and wanted to share! My crumb is more open, bellies are smooth, and my loaves are not gummy. 👏🏻 ➡️ My starter always gets lots of bubbles but the effect in this post was created when I had it in a sealed jar after feeding. I typically don’t do this to avoid it exploding but this was a rare case. I had prepped it to sell but the pickup fell through and I left it sitting sealed-when I came back to it later I was blown away by how beautiful the activity was! She fell back down real quick once I removed the lid but I loved seeing evidence of all that C02 the yeast created. So cool! 🤓 Curious if people like these kinds of posts also? Mines on day 11/12 and she hasn’t stopped smelling like alcohol, I started her off with 1cup of flour & 1/2ish of water and when it’s time to fed her it’s 1/2cup of flour and 1/4water
