the straps are completely understandable however a lot of the time people are put in straps for unnecessary reasons

Don’t you also need a providers orders if you need to use the restraints, like even if you need them in an emergency afterward don’t you need it?

for real! my dad was hospitalized with alcohol exacerbated dementia. he needed mittens and then restraints bc he kept trying to get up and pull out...

I was out of it but conscious and my mom asked them to restrain me cuz I was trying to pull things off. Sometimes they are needed.

Paramedics use to be able to put combative patients in a Reeve Sleeve but they can’t do it these days. Not even sure if ambulances still keep RS onb
