@jeremyethier: Here’s 5 mistakes almost everyone makes with the bench press (and how to fix them)👇. 1. Stabilize your body before you unrack. Push your feet down and forwards into the ground, and drive your knees out. Activate your lats by thinking about bending the bar in half ✅ . . 2. The bar shouldn’t travel up and down. It should start above your shoulders and then travel down and forwards towards your nipples. Reverse this on the way up ✅ . . 3. Avoid flaring your elbows out. Tuck them in slightly. Think arrow shape, not T-shape ✅. . 4. Don’t let your shoulders cave in at the top. Keep your chest up and shoulders back ✅. 5. Keep your forearms directly under your wrists. If they’re angled in or out, it often means either your grip may be too narrow or too wide ✅. Hope this helps!
