NASCAR tires won’t help. The side walls are too hard. You do need to get a shorter tire or better gear. What state are you in?

a big issue is gonna be the rear end gear with that tall of a tire. we run 4:88 or 5:13 with a 32 to 33 inch tall tire. for 1/8th Mile

do you have access to squirters? i had a bunch of success with squirters in my 76 el camino with a basically stock 350 bigger car more pump shot

You have to spend the tires for the compound. Turn on slick gets sticky.!!! You didn’t even spend the tire. You have to get more gear.!!!💯

A decent stall converter may help. You can stall the engine up on the line past the bog of the carb. Have you looked at the squirters?
