I wrote a story about me feeling this exact way😭. "So many missed opportunities I’ve had. If only I wasn’t shy, if only I wasn’t so scared, if only I was more confident — then I would have been able to talk to him. Every day, I think about the chances I missed when I could have spoken to him and told him how I felt. If only I respected myself enough to act on my feelings, instead of pushing them down into the depths of my heart just because I didn’t feel like I was enough. If only I respected myself enough not to constantly believe that my imperfections drown out my beauty. If only I had spoken up about how I truly felt, then I wouldn’t be here by myself, constantly reminiscing on what I could have done rather than what I actually did. If only I faced my emotions instead of running from them, maybe I could be in a happy relationship with the one I truly love — instead of thinking about that one specific person every time I enter a talking stage. I wish I had never fallen in love with him, rather than feeling this way daily without fail. I constantly suffer in silence because of an experience that could have been my life right now — if only I wasn’t such a wimp. I wish I would have said something."

He made a heart out of a gum wrapper and gave it to me. He said he thinks I would look beautiful without makeup on. He asked during homecoming if I was his date to the dance. But he had a girlfriend during it all. I’m not sure if he only got a girlfriend to forget me or if it’s my aching heart talking. But it seemed like he still wanted me even after, like idk… I’m pretty sure missed my chance and I regret it every single second.
