Asian Hamburger Helper (Aka Eloise’s fave) (Aka beef omurice) Approximate macros per serving (serves 2) Calories: ~422 Protein: ~38 g Carbs: ~31 g Fat: ~17 g Ingredients ½ pound 93/7 ground beef About 1¼ cups cooked rice ½ tablespoon butter 1 teaspoon soy sauce 1 scallion, finely chopped Salt and freshly ground black pepper 2 whole eggs 2 egg whites Small roasted sweet potato floret, optional Instructions 1.	Start with the butter Place a skillet over medium heat and add the ½ tablespoon butter first. Let it melt and lightly foam so it coats the pan. 2.	Brown the beef Add the ground beef directly into the buttered pan. Season with salt and pepper. Break it up and let it cook, allowing it to develop caramelized browned bits before stirring too often. That browning builds depth. 3.	Add the rice and soy Lower the heat slightly. Add about 1¼ cups cooked rice and break up any clumps. Toss until evenly combined. Add 1 teaspoon soy sauce and stir so it distributes throughout the rice. Taste and adjust salt if needed. Fold in the chopped scallion at the end so it stays bright. Remove from heat. 4.	Shape the rice Divide the beef rice mixture in half. Press one portion firmly into a small bowl to mold it into a compact dome. Invert onto a plate and gently lift the bowl. Repeat with the second portion. 5.	Make the egg blanket In a bowl, whisk together 1 whole egg and 1 egg white with a pinch of salt. Heat a nonstick pan over low to medium heat. Lightly grease if needed. Pour in the egg mixture and swirl to create a thin, even layer. Cook gently until just set and still tender with no browning. 6.	Blanket and finish Carefully slide the egg onto the molded rice dome so it drapes over the top like a blanket. Repeat with the remaining egg mixture. Top each with the roasted sweet potato floret if using. Serve immediately. #koreanfood #EasyRecipe #weeknightdinner #highprotein
