My manager told me about the promotion nearly a month before he told me how much my pay would be increasing 👀 I thought that was strange, but a lot of people say it's just due to company budget cycles 🤷♀️ One of the major reasons I wanted to find a new role at a different company is because I knew I could make more money elsewhere. I still think I could make more money at a different tech company, but I don't feel as bad about the gap now 💪 (There are ~other~ reasons I still think I should get a new job. I recorded a whole podcast episode about it - 🔗 in bio) Note: For RSUs, I have a mix of grants - some with a specific number of shares I'll receive, and some with a value amount I'll receive.
