@emmafituk_: body dysmorphia, bad body image days, obsessing over your perceived flaws, picking apart the things you dislike about yourself… I know first hand how much this can COMSUME your life. It’s perpetuated by social media, “body trends”, comparison.. but the number 1 problem is that little voice inside your head 🧠 ….. “I wish I looked like her” “I used to look so much better” “My stretch marks are ugly” “People are going to think I’ve gained weight” “I hate my tummy” “I look so bloated” WAY too many girls are their own biggest critics and constantly put themselves down, focus on their insecurities and let their own negative self talk consume their thoughts. The society we live in today has normalised tearing ourselves down & picking at our flaws but penalises us for any sort of self love but Far too many girls get caught up in striving for that insta worth body rock hard abs, gravity defying bum, thigh gap and long lean legs, teeny tiny waist + CRAZY ratios that they forget this is often a body blueprint that doesn’t even exist in real life! ‼️‼️And most importantly: THERE IS MORE TO LIFE THAN HOW YOU LOOK!!!! Please stop wasting your precious time on this beautiful earth letting your mind bully your body 🤍🌎💫 I still sometimes get bad body image days- that’s normal! But at the end of the day; we are so much more than just how our bodies look 🥰 so we need to STOP letting our appearance control our mood/ self worth/ enjoyment in life🫶🏼 you deserve to be happy and live life to the fullest no matter how you look!
