I’ve read the instructions on an in use cover once. It said for horizontal install use this. For vertical use this.

It’s supposed to open up so that the cover can’t be left open by mistake, that’s why they give you the option so you can mount the box either way.

yea it's made to go only vertical but they put the option to switch the hinge bolt so it can be Installed horizontal. smh... you damn knucklehead 😅😅
