I think it’s happening because the white isent fully dry. If you look at the swatches on black you can see white before the couloir comes through.

to use them i think you gotta write w/ the colours first and then use the white on top of them, since they look more vibrant straight on the black

to get a neon affect you need to do the colour first, and then do white on top.

Artist here. Most neon markers don’t work well on top of each other- I wish they would but I’ve never found a brand that did that well
