Growing up, as soon as one of my neighbors delivered their Diwali parcel, I would rummage through in search of the Gulab Jamun. Everyone at home knew I had ‘dibs’, some would say I’m an addict, I’d say I’m a connoisseur😋 For me the process of make Gulab Jamun is such an experience, from mixing and rolling the dough, to watching the Gulab Jamun puff up and dance around the oil thanks to the addition of Royal Baking Powder. And finally soaking up the delicious rose flavoured syrup!!!! It’s a sight for the eyes and a feast for the tummy!!! Soft, sweet, syrupy. Three words that describe the perfect Gulab Jamun!
