in Australia mostly where I live we ha e a thing where people paint rocks and hide them around the town. it's great fun and my kids enjoy finding them

we had one in New Mexico, some rich guy hid millions worth somewhere out here and left clues in a poem he wrote. a few people died trying to find it.
