cover letter creative writing is my forte 💁🏼‍♂️ the truth is that this video is based on a real-life story…that’s right. the first ever official job I applied for…was…McDonalds in 2012 😭 this was the beginning of Pasha a 16-year-old me, brimming with excitement as I filled out the McDonalds job application (with broken English) and waited eagerly to hear back. passing by the golden “M” sign, each time filled me with hope for my future, envisioning myself flipping burgers and serving coffee, and making people smile. it was more than just a job; it was my dream. it’s funny but I still stand by the McDonalds Dream. there aren’t many jobs that offer such immediate impact. take now, for example; I’m going through a slightly challenging period (exciting changes are underway, but it’s demanding a lot of work). today, I treated myself to a cappuccino, my first coffee in the last 2 months. the barista that served me the coffee looked down, she looked so sad. if she at least looked me in the eye, she would realise how happy that cappuccino made me. how happy SHE made me. now…what happened with my McDonalds application? did I get the offer? that call (or email) never came…I didn’t get it. it was a tough lesson in rejection, but hey, it’s all part of the journey, right? it created the Pasha of today. I ended up doing some cleaning jobs, learning English and ended up getting a role at KFC a year later…a competitor. oh and I watched a lot of How I Met Your Mother. watching and learning from Barney Stinson helped me land my first customer-facing job 😅 okay love you and remember that job rejection is re-direction. take care 🥰 #recrtuiter #jobs #comedy #linkedin
