Body fat percentage is bulls***😳 Let me explain This clip from: 🎙️ Ep 96 // Top-10 Tools to Make Gaining Muscle, Losing Fat, & Nailing Your Diet Easier First, people are TERRIBLE at estimateing their own body fat percentages when comparing themselves to photos (the most common way people estimate) I usually see people overestimate how lean they are by at least 2-5%, even more  But even if people use a machine like this one, the Inbody machine, the technology used is insanely innacurate The technolgy it uses is called B.I.A. ⚡️(Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) Which is also the same technology used on your “smart” scale at home Inbody machines can cost anywhere between $5,000-$10,000, and they look and sound scientific AF But they’re just not Inbody machines can be 10%+ off in estimating your body fat percentage and body composition (muscle vs. fat) And countless things can throw off your results, like: - how much water you’ve drank today - how whether or not you’ve worked out - if you’ve showered/bathed or not - when and what your last meal was - how much stress you’re holding - your sleep quality from the night before - AND SO MANY MORE Unless you’re using a DEXA Scan, MRI, Hydrostatic Weighing, 3D Scan, or BodPod, your numbers wont be that accurate (and even these can be off) But here’s the good news: Knowing your exact body fat percentage isn’t that important… And using tools like taking progress photos and measuring scale trends are much more valuable In today’s episode (Ep 96 of @Fitness Stuff Podcast ) we go over 10+ tools you can use (most of them are free) to take your training in the gym to the next level, help you break through plateaus, and make sticking to your diet easier. #Fitness #FitTok #GymTok #bodyfatpercent #samsulek
