If you just like continental knitting I recommend using a Norwegian knitting thimble! Makes it easy to hold 2 colors in the same hand

For continental knitting, try tensioning your yarn behind your hand from your pinkie counter clockwise and then over your pointer finger.

I recommend continental combined, it makes purling so much easier. I didn't think it was bad before tbh, but switching to combined is the beeeest

I'm a flick knitter! and I often have the yarn in my right hand closer to the tip of my index finger to require less motion (it does slip sometimes)

Try Portuguese knitting! You attach the yarn to your shirt (or around the neck) and the tension comes from the front, you don’t need to hold the yarn
