Solo dates can be daunting, but after seeing the @World Nomads post about their Content Creator Scholarship to #Thailand. I had to challenge myself! The entry required a post highlighting your creativity and passion for travel, and of course, I had to highlight my city, #Pretoria, and more specifically, my favourite market, @Market@theSheds ✨️ This experience made me realise 3 things: 1. Traveling solo/ solo dates can be scary at first, but once you immerse yourself into the experience, it's so fun. You don't have to ask anyone 'What do you want to do? Should we get this?' You just do it because it's literally just you, and that's how I got hooked on Boba Bubble Tea by Lufuno (I couldn't stop drinking it) ❤️ 2. Speaking of Bubble Tea, traveling is such a great way to experience new things, support small businesses, and make new connections. World Nomds if you select me to win this scholarship, I have to visit Vietnam 🇻🇳 after exploring Thailand 🇹🇭. Meeting the Vietnam News Agency crew was so lovely and they implored me to apply for this scholarship to explore Asia and hopefully visit their home country too. 3. Lastly, as I mentioned, I did not eat at the market because of my tummy 😅 and I was using public transportation so I did not want to risk anything. However, with World Nomads, a travel insurance provider. If I were to get sick on any international trip, they would have me covered. They provide travel insurance, which includes coverage for accidental injuries or suddenly getting ill while traveling. Their team is on standby to help 24/7 with emergency assistance 😉.
