PART 1 | Amsterdam, New York: When Police Complaints Go Unanswered It started on July 8,2025 According to the Amsterdam Police Department’s own officer notes, this woman reported that my sister was making TikTok videos about her and provided MY telephone number. Here’s the problem: She knew exactly who I was. She had been part of my online community. Yet somehow, my phone number became part of a complaint involving her sister. And the police actually called me. Fast-forward to my own repeated attempts to report concerns about her conduct, including the recording and monitoring of my online activities and the alleged distribution of my current address and residential addresses spanning approximately 20 years. My concerns were dismissed, and my subsequent communications have received no meaningful acknowledgment or response. Why was her complaint worthy of police attention, while my documented concerns seemingly warranted none? I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m asking for accountability, consistency, and transparency from a publicly funded law enforcement agency. And I have the documentation. PART 2: Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests, records withheld under personal privacy exemptions, and the disclosure of my own emails to the very individual I was reporting. This is about more than one complaint.
