@thehomesteadingrd: ⚠️Don’t miss this step!!! You can thank me later ☺️ Head out to your garden now to save a tub of garden soil and a tub of compost. (I keep it in my garage) Why? When I start my seedlings in the early spring, I like to use a blend of 1/3 seedling mix, 1/3 garden soil and 1/3 compost (once they graduate from the tiny pods). This helps the plants adjust to your garden environment ahead of time 🙌🏼. However, if you live in a cold climate like I do, your garden soil and compost will likely still be a frozen block that’s buried under snow 🥶. I’d rather plan ahead so I don’t have to use an ice pick later 🙌🏼🙌🏼. Make sure to share this with your northern gardeners so they don’t miss this helpful step!
