@stuartwelch_: Bulkheads in Residential Construction: What's the Difference? 🏡📐 Square Bulkheads: These are horizontal projections that create a flat, even ceiling surface. They're typically used to conceal structural elements like beams, air ducts, or wiring. The result is a clean and modern look. Raking Bulkheads: Unlike their square counterparts, raking bulkheads are sloped or angled projections. They're primarily used to follow the pitch or angle of the roof, adding architectural interest to a room. Raking bulkheads are often seen in areas with vaulted or cathedral ceilings. So, next time you're reviewing your building plan, keep an eye out for those dotted lines that indicate the type and location of bulkheads. They play a crucial role in both the aesthetics and functionality of your residential space. 📏📝🏠 . . . #perthbuilder #builderperth #houseandlandpackage #firsthomebuyer #perthhouseandland #perthinteriordesign #houseandlandpackages #perthagent #perthsalesrep #perthdisplayhome #displayhome #homedesign #firsthomebuyers #builder #newhome #homeowner #perthhomes #perthhomebuilders #waconstruction
How do you hang floor to ceiling curtains when the end of a square bulkhead is over part of a sliding glass door?

Well if I was paying I would want it all to be the same because I can’t comprehend why there is a need for a bulkhead. I just don’t understand it at all and it frustrates me.
