@paigelayle: fr, i kept making PLAN after PLAN after PLAN, list after list, writing down step by step, outlining my day down to 5 minute intervals. “maybe if i plan it just a little but more, i wont mess up and ill know everything and itll be okay and ill be safe.” 🙈❌ WRONG. it was how i tried to deal with my PDA reaction to demands. i KNEW there were times right before x event started, my brain would “go numb” and id forget everything (aka brain into FFF). but following a list or a routine or what i planned 1) barely ever happened and 2) was a terrifying fast zombie stressy mess and i dont remember any of it afterward. now, i dont make any plans for how rhings are gonna be done. i have to trust myself and my knowledge in the moment. i go “paige, u literally know things, you can make choices as they come up. ur creative and smart and good. i trust u.” anyway thats on #PDAAutism! #PathologicalDemandAvoidance #pervasivedriveforautonomy #persistentdriveforautonomy #autismawareness #autismoftiktok #autismtiktok #paigelayle #autisticadult #autistiktok
