the problem with apple cables is that the rubber they use to coat the cables is unstable and degrades over time and that's how the cables fail

You didn’t do the test on grabbing the cord by the cord each time you unplug it. That’s the big one. Kind of a fraudulent test.

In 2018 I bought a 5€ usb c to lightning cable for my iphone, on aliexpress. I still use to this day :) (brand is ESR, for those wondering)

Remember, this is only a DURABILITY test. one of the weaker one could be fastest at charging. so keep that one soley at home in 1 socket.

USB C compared with anything else is apples to oranges due to the redundant pins. Longevity is built into the design of the connection.
