I felt like I was living in the future 🤯 So, OpenAI just released something game-changing: Operator, an AI agent that can browse the internet and do tasks for you in real-time. It’s part of the ChatGPT Pro plan, and yes, it’s pricey at $200/month, but wow—this is the future. Imagine telling ChatGPT to shop for you, plan your trip, prospect sales leads, or even handle marketing research, and it just does it while you go for a run or take a shower. I tested it with my Amazon cart—Operator was great at managing preferences and adding items to my cart. BUT it also decided my cart was “too messy” and moved all my saved items to “Save for Later” without asking me. Frustrating, but it showed just how much it’s capable of operating independently. Luckily, those items weren’t lost, but it’s a reminder: this is still a research preview, and the AI is learning. Beyond shopping, I’ve used it for travel, restaurant research, and even brainstorming kids’ activities. The interface is sleek—everything happens right in the chat window. You can jump in to take control anytime, so it feels intuitive and safe. Compared to other tools like Claude’s Model Context Protocol, this is WAY more user-friendly and accessible, even for non-techies. If you’re already using ChatGPT Pro, it’s worth trying.
