@cookinwithaynur: Honey Cake (Medovik) 🍯 Would you believe me if I told you that this super delicious honey cake can be ready in just 30 minutes? No kneading and no rolling required! Ingredients: 60 g sugar 250 g all-purpose flour 2 eggs 100 g honey 150 g butter 1 tsp baking soda A pinch of salt For the frosting: 300 g full-fat cream fraiche 200 g sweetened condensed milk caramel Preparation: 1. Place the honey, sugar, and butter in a non-stick pot. Mix over low heat until the butter melts. 2. Add baking soda and mix for 2-3 minutes. Remove the pot from the heat. Let it cool down. 3. Transfer the mixture into a large bowl, add salt, eggs, and whisk well. Then add flour, and mix until no lumps remain. 4. Pour half of the batter into the baking tray. Even it out with a spoon. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 7-8 minutes. 5. Divide each layer into 4 pieces. Then crush the scraps with a rolling pin. 6. In a large bowl, whisk together full-fat cream fraiche and caramel. The frosting is ready! 7. Spread frosting on each layer. Dust the top and sides with breadcrumbs and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 4 hours). The cake is ready!
