I fly JAL for business every month between Tokyo and Osaka. My company pays for it, and we can choose between Shinkansen, JAL, or ANA.

The thing is you lost 2-3 hours only to be on the airport. And normally the airports are way farther than a train station, adding 1 hour to it

JAL is the most underrated airline for sure. Flew with them from Melbourne to London 5 years ago and it was incredible
