@ben_yanes: Straps function to eliminate the limitation of grip in exercises where training grip isn’t the primary aim. There is nothing about using grips that is right or wrong - they are simply a tool that, like all other tools, is only more or less appropriate on account of the context in which you use them in - and whether or not you should use them should depend on the goal and the goal alone.
