Most of the animals that we rescue have already given up on humans. All they see is hatred, cruelty and abuse on roads growing up as street dogs. People would throw food in dustbins but not give left overs to these starving animals so they dont come again looking for food. They are mostly sick, injured and ill on streets in miserable conditions and despite all that pain and no medical help the same humans hurt and hit them. Crush them under vehicles and destroy their lives. When such animals come to us we give them space and privacy, we understand their mental health and fears. We never force them for anything and allow them to come close to us when they feel like. This poor boy was suffering from extreme skin infections, injuries and couldnt even walk as his hind legs were broken after an accident. He has been with us since a few months, his skin infection is still under treatment but he can now walk and use all his legs. He still has his fears and our staff always gives him space and deal with him in a very different way, this is him being taken to his kennel from the clinic after treatment from our vet. He gets extremely scared if someone touches him, or if he is pulled by the leash. So we lure him with treats and he keeps following them. This is what trauma looks like, Just like humans, trauma is similar in animals.💔
