burn 2 end of the rope 1 ( alaway mean 30 min ) and rope 2 ( 1 end ) at a same time . rope 1 gone mean rope 2 have 30 min left

light rope one at both ends. once it burns to the middle use that middle point and measure half of that onto the second rope and burn from end to the new point
