@alanstheory: A discussion as simple as this: “eggs go in the fridge”.. “no! Eggs have never gone in the fridge, what are you an ignorant!”. Is the perfect representation of the world right now. If we would just sit down, and start listening to each-other, with the intention of understanding, there’s a big chance the world would end up being a slightly better place. Understanding history from different perspectives, understanding pain from different perspectives and maybe looking at ourselves and make a slight adjustment ti a more centered view of the world. Here’s an invitation, go out and talk to someone you would never in a million years would have talked before because of what you learned while growing up. Go have a conversation with the people with the opposite political view from yours and try, just TRY to understand where they are coming from.
