Well I had a 1998 kx250 I had the same problem but when the bike was running it worked fine

You gotta offset the lever in the case when you put in onto the engine because the gears gotta be timed so that it actually pulles it in

so what im going to say, normally for shitty clutches, you have to sort of yank the bike back and forth for the clutch plates to sort of space apart

My mechanic told me that your not supposed to adjust both sides. Can’t remember why but he said it will fuck up the clutch
