@karinarykman: San Diego -> Seattle in under a minute! I’m afraid my simple words can’t properly convey the overwhelming amount of support, gratitude, and love I feel having completed our first ever headlining shows on the West Coast….but I’m going to try. And it won’t be brief! It’s the most surreal feeling to show up at a sold out club thousands of miles from home with the kindest people filling the room. Rooms full of people ready to dance, that know all the words to the songs that I meticulously constructed and took apart, afraid that no one would like them or they weren’t good enough, or whatever we tell ourselves that stops us from putting art into the world. It’s been the thrill of a lifetime to get to perform for you and to construct spaces that are devoid of judgement, rampant with energy brought forth by us on stage but completely reciprocated by all of YOU! It’s otherworldly and it’s not lost on me for a millisecond how lucky we are. I savor every moment of this. And the team?! @adam.november @thecorsico are forces of nature - we are one organism these days and it’s an everlasting joy to conjure up sounds larger than the sum of our parts together. They’re also the funniest people I know. @soyconmigo on sound and @below_the_waves on lights, not to mention driving, not to mention loading in and out everyday…we truly laughed our way up the coast, and nothing could be possible without this team of experts. And whaddaya say about a band like @guerillatoss ?! The best, on and off the stage. Perpetually inspired by their greatness and beyond thrilled to have had them on all these pivotal shows for my band. And whaddaya say about people like @jonohart13, @nickduba, @schaaborg, @alicekuner, etc etc?! You know how much we appreciate every one of you. It takes a village and my village is fucking amazing. I’m a lucky gal. Sorry to be so emo. Thank you to every person who came to these shows. I’ll never forget it!
