EDIT: After receiving multiple phone calls and terrible comments from the hotel saying that the dog was in his territory and in his right to attack, I have pressed charged against the dog, and against the hotel. The charges against the dog have been accepted by the cantonal veterinary police. So my worst nightmare happened. But first of all I want to say Charlie is in good health physically and mentally. He took it like a champ and is unchanged. And I am very greatful. I however cannot stress this enough: if you have small children or dogs STAY AWAY from this property. This dog attacked Charlie from behind with no warning and the hotel managers defend the dog, saying this is his property so is in his right to attack. Which shows how unprofessional and carless this hotel is for letting their dog be free on the property where they host guests of all ages. Charlie is a guide dog and I am visually impaired. I have peripheral vision loss and with limited vision. Charlie has to be with me to keep me safe, he was in his hiking harness and as you can see on the video, I had to be very careful when going down the stairs and look at my feet to not fall, as Charlie was not in his guide harness. I was on the phone with the dogs owner on our hike back down, and she did not care about anything I was telling her, and when I told I caught the scene on video, she didn't beleive me. And had the audacity to tell me

And had the audacity to tell me "But if you are blind how did you see what happened?“ "if you are blind how did you film it?" “your dogs fine, what's the problem?" What happened is incredibly illegal. If you are a hotel/restaurant, it doesn't matter is this is your home. From the moment guests or friends enter " your home" if that dog attacks someones, you will ALWAYS be in the wrong. And the only reason why I didn't want to press charges, is I beleive this dog has done this before, and could be put down. And I don't want that blood on my hands. But after receiving multiple phone calls and comments from the hotel owners and their friends, telling me to go back where I came from when I am Swiss in my own country. I decided to denounce the dog to the cantonal police. I am so sick of my country. I'm sick or the casual racism that happens in it when you cross the rostigraben. (language barrier across Cantons) I'm sick and tired of being treated like a tourist in my own country when I visit the Swiss German part. I'm sick and tired of EVERYONE. Even on holiday I can't catch a break. I can't stop worrying for my safety and my dogs safety. And even on holiday people will question my blindness. I'm exhausted.
