The owner surrender notes said he didn’t fit with the lifestyle, and she’s moving to a new apartment that doesn’t allow dogs. It’s very unfortunate, but he’s going to have a better life going forward. We try not to be judgmental with owner surrenders, but we also have empathy for the dogs, who are unfortunately the victims. We’re assessing him as a potential @heartsandbonesrescue dog – the characteristics we’re looking for are a dog-friendly dog, a human-friendly dog, a more relaxed and calm dog that would do well in the Northeast. One of the common misconceptions about shelters is that every dog in a shelter is a Pit Bull or is a major behavioral issue. You can find purebreds in shelters all day, every day.
