Tomato Garlic Beef Penne with Mozzarella Parmesan Ingredients: 1 lb penne 1 lb ground beef 5 cloves garlic, minced 1 small onion, diced 1½ cups heavy cream 1 cup shredded mozzarella ¾ cup grated Parmesan 2 tablespoons tomato paste 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning ½ cup reserved pasta water 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon black pepper 2 tablespoons butter Directions: Cook the penne in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain the pasta. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess grease if needed. Add the onion and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until softened. Stir in the garlic, tomato paste, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 1 minute, until the tomato paste deepens slightly in color. Reduce the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Let it heat for a couple of minutes without letting it boil hard. Add the mozzarella and Parmesan in small handfuls, stirring until both cheeses have melted into the sauce. Fold in the penne and stir until the pasta is evenly mixed with the creamy beef sauce. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time if needed. Season with salt and black pepper, then cook over low heat for another minute before serving.
