Fun fact- Sirius was my service dog in training up until he was 1 1/2 when I decided to “wash” / early retire him due to his severe fear of loud sounds. It hit a point where it was effecting him so badly & he couldn’t recover or move past his triggers. My dogs well being will always go above my own, so I put him first and removed him from working in public settings. Which in the long run was the best decision for him. But even now 7yrs later, he still loves to work & helps me around at home. Which hes happiest doing. • Sirius was my second SD. I had my first one for 5yrs. She was wonderful. But having a service dog is a huge amount of work & a lot of dogs do not have the temperament/drive/ability to fulfill the job.
