@katerobbllc: I just bought an entire box of vintage Playboy magazines at auction 💀 It's a strange purchase, so let me tell you how I'm going to use these in my business!! For months, I've been noticing the trend of the 70s/80s style editorial ad making a comeback. From big brands like Nike to smaller brands like Frosted Tips, we're noticing a comeback of simpler branding with vintage-inspired imagery, plain fonts, and plain backgrounds. As a seller on Etsy, I'm constantly looking to spot these trends and then identify where the original inspiration is coming from! As a digital wall art seller, I know that bar cart art has been trending for months. And what better place to draw inspiration from than iconic magazines from the late 70s that are chalk full of cigarette and liquor ads. While there's a lot of these magazines that won't be helpful to me, there's also a bunch of advertisements that I can use as inspiration for my products. And that, my friends, was worth every bit of $7 and a little bit of social shunning. What's the weirdest thing you've ever bought for your business? Let me know in the comments! #greenscreen #vintagefinds #vintageplayboy #etsyprintondemand #etsydigitaldownloads #graphicdesigninspiration #80sgraphics #70sgraphics #trendspotting #etsytrends
