@jadewarshaw: If you are thinking of bankruptcy. STOP right there.   There is likely a better way. At the end of the day whether you file chapter 7 or chapter 13, they will either put you on a payment plan, or put you on a plan and sell your stuff to pay off your debts.   These are all things you can do yourself!   1️⃣You can call and negotiate payment amounts, due dates, and even in some cases a lower interest rate. You can even ask for refunds on past due fees. 2️⃣Your can evaluate what you can sell off, whether its cars or even a home. And make the decision to sell off assets on your own. 3️⃣You can work more hours and look for higher paying jobs.  For some this may mean getting creative for child care and asking for help from friends, family, and community.   By the way, doing all of this SUCKS, I won’t tell you anything different. But at least you are in control of the wrecking ball.  And the only great thing about tearing something down, is you get to build something new thats healthy and stable. #moneytok #moneyadvice #bankrupt
