@lemon8_us: how I saved $150k in 2 years 👀 These are the 9 main factors that have helped me save over $150k since I graduated college 2 years ago! Also -- I don't have rich parents (I send them money each month to support *their* expenses), but I *did* pick a major in college that I knew would get me a high-paying job. 1. High-paying career: As a software engineer, I made a 6-figure salary right out of college. Having a relatively high income has helped me save *so* much. 2. Reducing my expenses: I was never a huge spender, and I really only splurge on things I know will bring value to my life, like travel, health, and fitness! 3. Tracking my money: I calculate my net worth every 2 weeks, and I use an app to keep track of my income & expenses! 4. Automating everything: I automate a big chunk of my financial system. For example, I have autopay on for all my credit card payments (so I never pay interest), and bill payments. I also automate my investments! 5. Investing regularly: I automatically invest in the stock market every 2 weeks! 6. Multiple income streams: For the last few years I've always had multiple jobs/income sources. Right now my main two income sources are my 9-5 and social media! 7. Budgeting: I set a budget every month and am almost always able to stick to it.8. Couples privilege: I live with my boyfriend and we save a TON of money by being able to split rent and other bills. 8. No debt: I don't have a car payment (I bought my car outright), credit card debt (I pay off my credit cards each month), or student loan debt (I received a ton of financial aid in college).
