J’ai toujours été une personne très contrôlante. Pendant longtemps, j’ai cru qu’en contrôlant les circonstances, je pourrais aussi contrôler mes émotions. Alors j’anticipais tout. Je réfléchissais au futur, j’imaginais tous les scénarios possibles, persuadée que cela me protégerait des tempêtes à venir. Mais avec le temps, j’ai réalisé une chose : cette manière de vivre ne m’a jamais apporté la paix. J’ai souvent plus souffert en imaginant ce qui pourrait arriver qu’en vivant ce qui arrivait réellement. Je pensais être sage. En réalité, c’était de l’orgueil. Parce qu’au fond, je me comportais comme si je savais mieux que Dieu ce qui était bon pour moi. Comme si j’étais mieux placée que Lui pour décider de ce qu’il fallait faire, du bon moment, du bon chemin. Mais Dieu seul est omniscient. Lui seul voit la fin dès le commencement. Lui seul est digne de tenir les rênes de ma vie. Alors aujourd’hui, je fais un choix. Je descends de mon trône… et je Lui laisse enfin Sa place.
